very basic and quick composite of mark iv aboard the marathon based on craig mullins work.
i must admit i anxiously await the day that the marathon community and or bungie contemplate moving forward on a slightly darker rendition of this incredible story.
and please excuse the incorrect composition of armor. we do what we do

Here is how I pictured the almighty S'pht god, Yrro... unfortunately, the quality of the graphics are kind of crap, and not even darkening it and increasing the contrast made the pencil marks and strokes any less ugly. Maybe I'll also go back and fix some of those stray marks around him.
Anyway, in the picture, I picture Yrro as looking a bit like a compiler himself, floating on some strange mechanism. He has two odd looking vine things coming out of those big circle things behind his shoulders, and in one hand he holds L'howon (he is much larger than life). Oddly though, the sun is pointing away from where his hand is pointing... I was also going to have him be encircled by wrkncacnter, but they didnt quite turn out right. And around his waist are those adorable S'pht jewels, except they are enormous. I imagined that the S'pht get their ability to attack from those jewels on their cloaks.
I dont take an art class (a visual one, that is), so my technique on drawing with pencils might not be that great... its just my sense of perspective that I see in my drawings I'd say its a monet.
Sorry PR, I didn't feel like drawing a cyborg in art club .

a play at the beginning of marathon, this is a comic i kinda based off of such, and as part of the tribute the comic is called "Arrival", however its for a concentration project im doing called Pitch Black Space Devil which is kinda lightly based on marathon in some parts but i wanted it to be unique so i had to change the story a bunch.

this was a recent concept for the monster, i thought it would make a cool monster for a scenario
Floating pie and chicken. Nice one flame.
Shadow, the shading on the torn cloth hanging down from Yrro is simply phenominal.

I was playing SMO Arena and decided to create my own character.
I made this.
His blood is even yellow.
Here is a link to SMO Arena:

CYBERGRENDELS
I never got a chance to finish it a few weeks ago...
pretty good
Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

The Marathon Marine would definately win, because he doesn't rely cheaply painted plastic for protection. Hell, he's hardly wearing any armor at all... no thick iron boots, no condoms, nothin'.

He has a helmet, upper body armor and gauntlets up to his forearms, not to mention shields which can withstand 7.5x the amount of damage a Bob can take, more if you have yellow or purple shield canisters at hand.Shadowbreaker wrote:The Marathon Marine would definately win, because he doesn't rely cheaply painted plastic for protection. Yeah, uh-huh, ok, still doesn't explain how the Marathon Marine can take two Air to Surface missiles in the face and still continue to fight a juggernaut.Shadowbreaker wrote:The Marathon Marine would definately win, because he doesn't rely cheaply painted plastic for protection. The guy even with normal health can take a grenade to the face even.
With that said, I'd say the Marathon Marine had a good chance of winning. Its all true. But don't talk to us about the MC's armor reliance. You don't need armor when all you need to do is pick up a yellow canister to enable you to take a rocket blast to the chest and keep going as though nothing happened. Not to mention taking a several bullets to the head means next to nothing.
MC vs MaraMarine it'd be a good fight, but make no mistake, in all actuality the Marathon Marine holds the unfair advantage.
Wouldn't Master Chief just figure out a way to give the marine AIDS or something?Shadowbreaker wrote:The Marathon Marine would definately win, because he doesn't rely cheaply painted plastic for protection. Hell, he's hardly wearing any armor at all... no thick iron boots, no condoms, nothin'.

Bloody freaking awesome. May I suggest blurring the card's face and desaturating it? That would make it look more authentic.logan wrote:Something I whipped up in Gimp in about 3 seconds.
Also, add grain. Pile it on like a sack of potatoes.
Embrace imagination.
Different picture, similar theme, adding Marathon to stuff.
