Edit: Just checked the MariusNet source, and it changes your name to Bob if there's a bad character in it. If you didn't put a bad character in your name, something got corrupted somewhere

I guess something got corrupted because my name is the same as it's always been. Other players were also having issues. Sometimes I would show up as Bob to them when on my screen my name was fine. Sometimes one of them would be Bob but only on my screen. At other times everything looked fine on my screen, but they were seeing a name replaced with Bob. Curiouser and curiouser....

Well, keep an eye out for it, if it keeps happening it may indicate there's something wrong with Mariusnet

It certainly was acting up a lot last night. Besides changing peoples' names to Bob, there was also a glitch such that whenever you typed a line, it would come out as two identical lines. Also, at one point, all of the messages normally on the meatserver were gone and you couldn't see any players in the room although they were there.

I've also noticed a number of players who are in both Shiver and Arrival at the same time, which is uncommon.

The whole Metaserver is pretty lol right now.

- Doubling text
- Players with weird characters in their names
- Players in the wrong channel
- Players named Bob

The metaserver is now completely out of order. Games can still be played, and you can read text, but no names/games are listed and the connection keeps dropping. People are getting double, triple, and quadruple repeated text.

I've just received word that giant guinea pigs, as well as aliens, tripods and the sort are in the metaserver and are wreaking havoc on anything they can. Cars burning, people getting thrown 100 yards, buildings collapsing, it's an apocalypse!

UPDATE: Now, apparently, the guinea pigs are fighting the aliens, while double-text is causing radio waves to become distorted and somehow make all the helicopters crash and burn, destroying houses and cutting power lines. The chaos here keeps rising!

UPDATE 2: OMG NOW THE BORG ARE HERE AND ARE ASSIMILATING PEOPLE INTO WEIRD CHARACTERS WHILE THE TRIPODS FROM WAR OF THE WORLDS ARE VAPORIZING EVERYTHING THEY CAN. CLEARLY A MESSED UP NIGHT IN THE METASERVER OMG.
