That's awe-inspiring. The texture on his gloves is especially awesome; the planets and landscape could use more work. (Check out the M2 terminals to see what S'pht buildings really look like.)Phobos-Romulus wrote:Here's a new one!

Not bad Phobos-Romulus, but I think it's too colorful (saturated), and would look better if you layered on some texture.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I admit the background could use a little work, but I did base it off the landscape in anvil.
And yeah, I should start using textures more often.

quite astonishing.jeffg wrote:[attachment=2200:444.JPG]
you got a pretty complicated scene going on in there (although some of the poses do seem to need some minor work)
the main thing that comes to mind about the poses is the centermost pfhor fighter. The pose just seems a bit weird. You seem to have gotten the marine pose pretty well. but what about the pfhor fighter? how did he get up in that pose? at least in my head he would had jumped up in a rather weird charging way. It seems like it's because of how he holds the staff. It needs more motion, and perhaps make him hold it a bit to the side, ready to strike, so he actually looks like he is charging the marine.
(excuse my grammar/english but I just woke up after a long night so my head is still booting up)
I am looking forward to see you work more with that sketch.
PS: your line work is quite respectable
I usually don't comment in here, but I must say this looks sweet.jeffg wrote:drawing

chinkeeyong: your drawings are reminiscent of the art style used in Castle Crashers. it'd be entertaining to see a version of the game with a Marathon bent, i think.
hop to it, you're already halfway there!

That tick looks sweet; it actually looks slimy and horrible. You have some incredible physics going on there and I say it looks great. The juggernaut also looks very nice, with some very clean definition, and the hunter shield looks very accurate.jeffg wrote:drawing
The marine's shotgun could be a tad longer and the fighter looks too muscular to be Pfhor-like, but good job. The only real caveat I can see is that the file is ridiculously huge.

Did this yesterday for my sisters Fan fiction. She wants me to draw all the villains of a massive crossover.

Nice! Where are T'fear's control glands, though?

Looking good, Nathan! Good job.

Awesome line definition there. Did you base this drawing off your dad's face or something?

You really need contrast between the foreground and background, jeffg. I see you're putting effort into texture, shadow, and fog, but it's hard for the viewer to discern what's displayed. Perhaps some bright specular highlights would bring out the outline of the juggernaut, and/or turning the background brown instead of blue-green.
Edit: also, Nathan's T'fear looks great!

Landscape texture I made. The colony in the background doesn't look very good close up.

It'd be better if the ship were anti-aliased :-\

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?
A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Today i finally managed to scan in my most recent marine art.
I based the armor style from some of Craig Mullins' artwork.
here we go

Did a new picture recently.
