You mean three matches?
And yes, I did.

Shhhhhhhh.
It's unfair to other competitors to enter twice, trice or more. There might not be an overt rule saying one cannot enter
twice, but it should in my opinion be common sense. One should not need to instruct people on how to behave respectfully
towards each other.

I completely agree. But what do you do about the people that purposefully behave disrespectfully to other people?
Easy! If you find out such a person (troll) you ban them.
So, you ban somebody even though they didn't break any of the tournament rules?
Yes I'd ban people who purposely act disrespectful towards others, even if I have not stated such a rule. I hope this doesn't surprise you. To me it's common sense that certain behaivors should not be tolerated.

anyone seen iMuffin latley?
What are you, if not seven different shades of stupid?
I agree goran. I excluded some behavioral rules because I assumed they were common sense. Throughout this tournament, I really don't want to kick anyone out, but I'll do it if I have to. I originally started this tournament to organize some fun, competitive marathon games. I didn't start it to give others more opportunity to exert themselves in a discourteous way.goran wrote:To me it's common sense that certain behaivors should not be tolerated.
Nope. I would try pming him.CryoS wrote:anyone seen iMuffin latley?

The 1v1 format, bracket system, rules, and maps you chose may have given people a different impression. The Thug wrote:I originally started this tournament to organize some fun ... marathon games.

Check his profile. He hasn't been here since he first joined this tournament. Don't hold your breath.CryoS wrote:anyone seen iMuffin latley?
Durability
Same thing with my opponent.g pack wrote:Check his profile. He hasn't been here since he first joined this tournament.
I don't care anymore.
win on walk over?

I'm not going to be able to play my round. I can't get a hold of my opponent, and I'm leaving town for a week, and won't have internet access. Sorry.
I don't care anymore.
Honestly, I thought W'rks additional meta-pseudonyms were common knowledge, and that the flood of people signing up for this would raise a flag. Also, my opponent has only signed in once to post entrance and once to changed his/her name to blckby.
I think the time limit should be waived and the brackets should be adjusted as needed for the tournament to be completed.
edit: PMing people that don't sign in is pointless on a board without a functioning email notification system.

Thank the sun that went nova so that Earth could have iron and silicon.
It will probably be a good idea for the thug to post a news update on the tournaments homepage saying this:
Please login to the pfhorums and post an email adress in the tournament thread. It will make it easier for
players to contact their opponents. People who fail to do this before round 2 begins, will be dropped from
the tournament immediately without notice.
....Or something similar. Just get peoples email adresses.
It will be a first step in solving the contact problem.

I must say that I agree that it would have been a good idea for people to post their Emails here. Mine is on my profile.goran wrote:It will probably be a good idea for the thug to post a news update on the tournaments homepage saying this:

Sounds good. I've posted a newsplash on the site. When I first posted this tournament I noticed a flood of players I've never seen before join here just to play in the tournament. I certainly hope they actually plan on playing some games.
